Arrrrrg! Yesterday was "National Talk like a Pirate Day"!!!

Soooo apparently, September 19th is "Talk like a Pirate Day" here in America. HaHa! Who knew (I didn't know until about 3 days ago).

Thanks  National Talk Like a Pirate Day for the Image!

Well anyway, I was in a silly mood yesterday and the weather has been cool here in Chicago, so I decided to indulge my inner child and set up a pirate scavenger hunt for my girls! I think it went well, my neighbor even came down to help! As an extra bonus I went over to the Chicago Public Library and got a ton of books on pirates! (Special thanks to the awesome librarian at Thomas Hughes Childrens Library! -- She rocks!!!) Any-who... I took the girls upstairs to my neighbor's house and I set up the hunt. It consisted of a map, clues, & a "treasure chest" at the end of the search! And let me tell you, it was FUN! I printed some Pirate Hats from online and we found the treasure! (It was a cordless lantern) My oldest daughter likes to read at night but hates how bright the lights are in her room. This was a perfect "booty" (Def. : any valuable article or articles) for her (score)!!! And now she can read all those pirate books I got from the library yesterday as well (double-score)!

To me this was a silly day celebrated by a mass of people who wanted to be silly, but hey, what's life without some silly every now and again!!! #notboring

 Arrrg, Until Next Time matey,
Keep ye treasures safe,

Truly, PKM
