Living Life One Day at a Time...The New Normal

So normally I have a specific topic I like to write about, but today, I'm gonna write what I feel. I’m gonna write what I know. It's been a long time since I've posted on here.... Too long, which made me nervous at first, but here goes... 

I'm a mom (duh!) all day everyday. But lately because we spend most of our time home, I've been a mom non-stop! There's been no sports..no mall drop-offs...no movies with friends...just family time. And at first I thought *OMG, how will I do this?*, but I quickly started to become accustomed to having my family close to me (all day everyday). It became the new normal and I was grateful. 

Over these past few months I've come to realize that I am in love with my family. 

You might think that that declaration should be a definite statement. A kind of, well, duh thing to say. 

But honestly it's not. You love your family, and would give them the world. But being in love with  

them is this never-ending, undying, unyielding, euphoric feeling that takes how I felt about them to the next level. Now don't get me wrong, my girls drive me NUTS and my husband is as lovable as he is in trying/getting on my NERVES, but I would not give up any of it. This pandemic in all its tragedy and heartaches has ultimately brought me and my family closer than ever. 

This year has been so weird and scary and troublesome, but it has also been inspiring and productive. It has shown us how resilient we as people can be. My struggles and heartaches and craziness has made me who I am. 

I am strong. I am resilient. I am whole. 

I love the color yellow, and the spring, and the fall. I am a paper collector aka a "paper pack rat" as my husband calls me. I love to cook and "fake-bake". I love planners and stickers and pens of all colors. I love cozy nights in front of the fireplace with a glass of wine and a movie that will either make you laugh or cry. I love all things HAPPY and I am corny and lame, and only cool to my "mom friends" but seriously... I don't care. I AM ME. 

So, thank you, to all those who read this blog. All those who have been in quarantine, DAY *infinity+1*. Thank you for coming, staying, and sharing this message. I hope you come again. But even more than that, I hope you are OK. I hope you are HAPPY. I hope you feel LOVED. And I hope this brings you JOY.
