Spring is knockin' on my door!!!

SPRING is in the AIR! Oh, and I've been loving its scent. For those of you who dwell in Chicago, we all know this winter has been so MILD. It snowed 3 or 4 times and temps have been cold, but not freezing! I, like many of my fellow Chicagoans, have been waiting for the ball to drop, waiting on the BIG snow... waiting. Now, I never speak too soon, we could be hit with a massive storm tomorrow, but in the mean time, I'm gonna enjoy this weather. I'm gonna let my hair down, wear my short coat, and keep those boots in their cubby at home.

I told my husband just yesterday, "We need to BBQ"... I know, I know... too soon? Well when it's 67 degrees in March in Chicago, I say uncover those grills and enjoy a burnt hot dog while you can. But you know... my favorite thing about spring is the new life it brings. Seeing the sight of green poking from the wet dark brown mud. Seeing those little buds on the trees. The smell of damp & rain & city.

SPRING starts the Birthday season in my house, also. With mine & my daughter's birthdays in April and my youngest's in May! Not to mention Easter and Mother's Day. We LOVE the spring in my home. With daylight savings taking place this Sunday, we even get more daytime!!! So, take this gift mother nature is throwing our way, and DO something! Go for a walk or a jog, anything! Just ENJOY!

(PS. Don't forget to SPRING FORWARD on March 11th!!! - You lose an hour of sleep, but gain an hour of daytime! I think that's only fair!)
