Don't fret moms, Prep your way through the stress!

It's a BUSY, BUSY, time of year!!! It seems after Halloween ends, the "Seasons" begin. You have so much to plan for: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the New Year! Where does time go? 24 hours never seems quite long enough, and between fighting fatigue and signs of the flu, your day is OVER before you can complete your tasks. This is the PERFECT time to get sick or feel OVERWHELMED! But, don't fret moms, take a DEEP breath and make your LISTS!!! I can't stress enough the importance of a list!

I have a prep-period right before the "Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Years" season that I use to help myself out! Since I was a little girl, I been known to write down EVERYTHING! It was such a bad habit in the sense I wasted SO much paper! (SideBar: I feel so bad about the trees I used for my habit) And I still find myself doing this today. But during this time of year, it's a MUST! You need a planner, a composition book, a note pad, and/or a calendar to keep track of your life & schedules. (I've been rotating between a Mom Calendar and 2 comp books I picked up from Target)

The first thing you always want to do is make a SHORT TERM GOALS list.
Ask yourself, What do I need to do today? Next Week? Next Month? and go from there. Add the tentative dates to your calendar and keep tract of them!!!

After you've written down the short term goals, Set your LONG TERM GOALS based on the ST goals list you've created. By doing so and seeing how you can reach those LT goals, will alleviate some stress. Most people create the LT goals first, and then work on the ST goals... I feel this is the #1 way to feel more overwhelmed by things.

But all and all, pace yourself!!! Moms have so many stresses on a daily, the holidays only amplify what's already there. Take it one day at a time. With Thanksgiving DAYS away, it's still not too late to to have a plan of action. With Christmas & New Years weeks away, it's never to early to start that plan, either.
