Four of my Favorite Tomato Open-faced Sandwiches!!!

Sometimes, you get a taste for a sandwich, but not always does this taste call for 2 pieces of bread! I would like to share with you my four favorite tomato open-faced sandwiches! With summer coming to an end, getting rid of all those summer tomatoes will be super simple with my recipes! I hope you enjoy!!!

Tomatoes & Cream Cheese on Multi-grain Toast
  • Toast a piece of Multi-grain bread - My Fav is Sara Lee® Hearty & Delicious® Natural 100% Multi-Grain Bread: http://www.saraleebread.com
  • Spread on some Creamed Cheese - My Fav is Kraft® Philadelphia Soft Cream Cheese: http://www.kraftbrands.com, it spreads like warm butter!
  • Add sliced Roma Tomatoes - I love going to the local Farmers Markets! I scored a bunch for only $1!!!!
  • Top Tomatoes with freshly cracked Black Pepper & Sea Salt
*Now you got yourself a yummy Tomato & Cheese Sandwich!

Tomatoes, Mozzarella, & Basil on Garlic Bread
  • Pre-heat your toaster oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Spread Butter on a piece of French bread. Sprinkle with Garlic Power and Italian Seasonings - I enjoy spices made by McCormacks (www.mccormick.com)
  • Layer on a few slices of fresh mozzarella
  • Then add sliced Roma Tomatoes
  • Top Tomatoes with fresh Basil and cracked Black Pepper & Sea Salt
  • Bake the sandwich until mozzarella begins to melt and the tomatoes have browned a bit.
*This sandwich is divine!

Tomatoes, Bacon, & Lettuce on French Baguette
  • On a warmed baguette, spread on a little mayo
  • Layer with Lettuce, Bacon, and Sliced Roma Tomatoes
  • Top Tomatoes with freshly cracked Black Pepper & Sea Salt
*This BLT will definitely hit the spot!

Tomatoes, Turkey, Guacamole, & Bacon on Pita
  • On warmed pita, spread a layer of Guacamole
  • Layer with Bacon, Turkey, and Tomatoes
  • Season tomatoes with a bit of cracked Black Pepper & Sea Salt
*This is a different take on the classic, club sandwich without all the layers!

I hope you will enjoy these simple sandwiches. Try them, change them, make them your own!

Until next Time,
Dig in & Enjoy.
